Terms, refunds, and the fine print.
Effective September 14, 2026
The short version: this is an educational site, not insurance advice; do your own verification for decisions this important; the workbook has a real refund policy; and be decent with the PDF we sell you. The longer version:
What this site is, and isn’t
Medicare Decoder is an independent educational publisher. We are not connected with or endorsed by the U.S. government or the federal Medicare program, and we are not an insurance company, agency, or licensed agent. Nothing here is insurance, legal, financial, or medical advice. Content explains how Medicare’s published rules and figures work in general; it can’t account for your complete situation. Before acting, verify details with Medicare.gov, Social Security, your State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP), or a licensed professional.
Accuracy, and its limits
We work hard at accuracy: figures are sourced to CMS and official publications, dated, and updated when the government changes them. Even so, rules change, plans vary by county, and mistakes are possible. The site and its content are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, and we aren’t liable for decisions made in reliance on it. If you spot an error, tell us through the contact page; we fix real errors quickly and say so.
The workbook: license and refunds
- License: buying the Turning-65 Decision Workbook gets you a personal-use license: print it, fill it in, keep every edition we send you. Households sharing one copy is fine and expected. Reselling it, redistributing the file publicly, or passing it off as your own isn’t.
- Refunds: if the workbook doesn’t help, write to us within 30 days of purchase through the contact page with the email you bought with, and we refund in full. No forms, no argument, and you keep the PDF. Refunds are processed back to your original payment method by our checkout provider.
- Updates: “free updates” means we email revised editions to the purchase email when official figures change. Keep that inbox reachable or write to us to move it.
Free downloads
The free checklists and sample pages are for personal use and for sharing in personal, non-commercial settings: print them, hand them out at the senior center, forward them to a friend. Please share the files or links as they are, without editing, and don’t sell them.
Links to other sites
We link to official government sites and occasionally to other resources. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content or policies.
The legal frame
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where the publisher operates. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stands. Using the site means you accept these terms; if they change materially, the date above changes with them.
